Teaching Methods
MDG uses a hybrid method which combines the best features of the two main methods used in language teaching: the “traditional” method which focuses on written exercises and grammar and the “direct” method, which is essentially based on listening.
As active participation in the language is the best possible motivator, MDG students are encouraged to listen and speak in the target language during lessons at the earliest possible stage.
Students gradually learn how to use the language with increasing effectiveness through repeated oral practice, backed up by written exercises.
Most people find that the combination of oral and written work is the most effective way of memorising information. New vocabulary and grammar are introduced progressively throughout the course to further develop the students' language skills.
